Boulderflood -Flood Relief And Resources #Cowx

Phillip Monette of the Flagstaff House Restaurant restoring a Synagogue in Boulder during the Boulder Flood

All of us here at All Phase Carpet and Upholstery of Boulder hope and pray that all of you are safe and dry after undergoing one of the most traumatic flooding experiences in recent Boulder and Colorado front range history- The Boulder Flood.  We normally do Carpet Cleaning in Boulder and Carpet Cleaning in Niwot and the rest of Boulder County for all of our wonderful clients who we have served for over 20 years.  During this time of emergency we have suspended Carpet Cleaning in Boulder so we can respond to numerous emergencies our clients are experiencing during this unprecedented weather event in Colorado.  I have been putting together a list of resources, but just received several emails and Twitter notices which should fulfill quite a bit of your needs- I will add to this blog as I find new sources of flood resource and rebuilding information- so come back and check on a regular basis:)  We are praying for all of you and know that if we all work together we know that Colorado will come through this weather event stronger than before.

Here are the Boulder Flood Resources I and others have located for you so far:

Here is a link to a partial list of businesses and organizations that are providing help to victims of the Colorado floods:

This is information from an organization I belong to (IICRC) concerning mold and mold remediation

Be very careful of out of town remediators who tell you  that mold is a huge problem in your home or business- verify the problem with several companies before doing mold remediation in Colorado.

Flood Relief and Resources

With the recent flooding and severe weather, I wanted to share some information that may be helpful if you were affected by this storm. If you have immediate needs for food, water or shelter, you should contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767) or the United Way by dialing 2-1-1 from a landline phone.

Boulder County has received the major disaster declaration. Individuals in Boulder County may qualify for FEMA aid for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help in your recovery. If you would like to apply for federal assistance, you can do so online by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362. Operators are taking calls between 7 am and 10 pm, seven days a week. FEMA also recommends that you contact your insurance agent if you have not already done so. You will need to have the below information ready to apply.

  • You social Security Number
  • Current and pre-disaster address
  • A telephone number where you can be contacted
  • Insurance Information
  • Total household annual income
  • A description of your losses caused by the disaster
